Progress in Discussions for Multinational Force
According to reports, Israel's Defense Minister Yoav Gallant engaged in talks with U.S. officials during his recent visit to Washington, discussing the deployment of a multinational force in Gaza to oversee the region's security and humanitarian aid efforts.
Gallant conveyed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that progress was made during these discussions. The exact composition of this multinational force, which is said to include elements from three Arab countries, remains unclear as their identities were not revealed.
A report from American news site Axios previously mentioned Gallant's proposal to the U.S. to establish a multinational force in Gaza on March 28. It is speculated that Israel aims to prevent Hamas from regaining control in Gaza after the end of hostilities with this multinational force.
