GIGEM Students Shine at Robotex Competition
Students from the Girne Youth Development Center (GIGEM) CANDELA Robotic Coding Schools, operating under the SOS Children's Village Association, have earned the opportunity to participate in the Robotex Festival in Estonia in November after achieving success at the Robotex Competition in Izmir.
According to a statement from the SOS Children's Village Association, students Gülsen Hatipoğlu, İlkem Orbay, and Zeynep Tuncer from the Afrodit’s Girls group secured second place in their category with their design of the "Candle-Blowing Robot," earning them a spot at the Robotex Festival.
Furthermore, students from the GUF-E group in the "Line-Following Robot" category, including Baran Tarın, Çetin Karaca, Erdal Faiz Camgöz, Nihat Karaca, and Onur Yücel, received the jury's special award in the line-following category where 12 groups competed.
