5.7 Magnitude Earthquake in Southern Greece
The European Mediterranean Seismology Center announced that a 5.7 magnitude earthquake occurred in southern Greece. The earthquake took place in the western part of the Peloponnese Peninsula.
The Athens Geodynamics Institute stated that the quake was 18 kilometers deep. Following the main earthquake, two aftershocks of magnitudes 2.9 and 2.1 were experienced.
As of now, no reports of damage have been made regarding the tremor that occurred at 09:12 local time.
